Description:
We are looking for a friendly person who likes to talk with patients and is good at making people feel at ease and offering support to others.
You will need to be physically fit as some patient mobility assistance will be required at times (ie helping someone move from a wheelchair onto a couch)
In addition to supporting patients and their families during their time with us in the clinic you will be required to perform essential infection prevention tasks (ie cleaning clinic rooms and equipment).
Supporting patients and relatives during their attendance in the department.
Undertaking regular infection control measures of clinic rooms and equipment (cleaning).
Ensuring adequate supply of consumables to maintain efficient and effective service delivery.

Assist the medical and clinical staff during clinics held in the department and occasionally on
wards including ITU.
Prepare clinic rooms.
Record patient data as directed by medical staff.
Transport portable equipment as required to wards.
Assist patients to undress and act as chaperone during examinations.
Assist patients with limited mobility using correct procedures/ techniques and equipment as
required.
Recognise safest means to assist patient mobility.
Support patients in basic hygiene needs.
Organise and maintain consumable stock levels.
Maintain levels of laundry and pharmacy items and liaise with these departments to ensure consistent supplies.
Carry out infection control procedures on clinic rooms and equipment on a regular basis.
Maintain the waiting room facilities and ensure it is clean and safe for all users.
Participate in departmental audits.
Participate in department service reviews and development
