Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You should have significant experience with an understanding of electrical systems design, fabrication, integration, troubleshooting, software development, and a variety of manufacturing processes.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance is required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Appointment will initially be for 12 months with the possibility of an extension. Initial appointments and extensions are subject to performance and availability of funding.

Responsibilities:

The main function of this position is to support the Manufacturing Design Group and affiliated groups with a focus on electrical system design, integration and troubleshooting with a specific focus towards advanced manufacturing systems. The group efforts focus on building the science base for advanced manufacturing systems and translating those results into innovations for commercial and defense applications. Projects often integrate additive and subtractive operations, hardware and software, sensors, and data analysis. Projects will require creative solutions to challenging problems in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
