Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with half an hour unpaid lunch break

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

To succeed in this role, candidates should ideally possess the following:
Transport planning knowledge.
Strong geographical awareness.
Communication skills by telephone, written, and face-to-face.
Computer skills, Sage systems, Transport software, Microsoft Office.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills to ensure that time is managed effectively.
Positive, can-do attitude.
CPC qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bright, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our busy Transport Department.
Joining our existing Transport Department, the successful candidate’s responsibilities would involve:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting the Transport Manager in ensuring all aspects of transportation to the client are done so in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Accurately inputting of data to parcel & pallet carriers.
Maintaining logs & manifests.
Contacting customers in a professional manner to arrange delivery of goods.
Calling carriers to obtain PODs, ETA & damage claims.
Communicating with suppliers to organise the collection of products.
Maintain a safe system of work to comply with Broxap’s Health & Safety Policy.
Communicate with internal colleagues & external clients either by telephone or email to access, equipment and people power is available to ensure delivery is met when required, right first time and in safe and secure manner.
Support the accounts department by ensuring all manifests are costed accurately to support the invoice reconciliation.
Daily site checks to ensure no orders have a 24/48 hour despatch window (orders permitting).
