Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Underwriter at Aspen, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting process. Your day-to-day administration tasks will include signing slips, returning slips, organising updating and adding all the teams underwriting details on underwriting platform and maintaining accurate records of insurance risks. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a strong customer orientation.
Contribute to the preparation and implementation of operational team plans
Maintain underwriting files in an accessible manner
Develop relationships with key stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues
Support credit control in payment collection
What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Underwriter role brings prior administrative experience Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build effective relationships with stakeholders. You are proficient in using MS Office applications such as Excel, along with other departmental software packages.

  • Prior administrative experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant underwriting systems (Nice to have)
  • Understanding of class specific underwriting and reinsurance knowledge (Nice to have)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications effectively e.g. Excel and other departmental software packages
  • Ability to analyse data and use for decision-making
