As Assistant Vessel Performance Manager in NORDEN, you will contribute to fuel efficiency in shipping through a data-driven approach joining our specialised Fuel Efficiency team in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This dedicated team focuses on developing and leveraging in-house software to support sustainable shipping, working in close collaboration with Operations and Chartering.
YOUR COMPETENCES AND CORE QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a colleague who is curious and wants to expand their knowledge and engage with various stakeholders. You have a natural collaborative mindset and are interested in working closely with colleagues to deliver.
Further, to thrive in this position, you:
- Are a recent graduate with a degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Transport Engineering, or similar.
- Hold an interest in ships, hydrodynamics, and engines.
- Have great analytical and mathematical skills.
- Have a proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
To be more specific your responsibilities will include to:
- Translate and communicate the results of mathematical models to commercial departments globally.
- Champion NORDEN’s mission for more a sustainable shipping industry.
- Drive informed decision-making with your colleagues through your analysis and insights.
- Collaborate on designing future decision support systems to improve fuel efficiency across our fleet.
