Assistant Vice President Associate General Counsel - (24000040)
Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the legal, regulatory and compliance affairs of the Allied World Europe and Lloyd’s Syndicate 2232 platforms and their related entities.
- Negotiate and assist with regional contracts and general corporate and governance matters.
- Assist with providing legal advice and training to the business.
- Monitor for and advise the business on legal and regulatory updates.
- Handle and assist with insurance regulatory and compliance matters, including complaints handling and regulatory filings.
- Handle and assist with data privacy matters.
- Maintain good relationships with outside counsel.
- Work effectively with the Legal & Compliance Department globally to ensure global consistency where possible.
- Such other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- A senior attorney with at least four years of total legal experience with a recognized law firm and/or in a corporate setting.
- Must be a qualified / licensed solicitor in England and/or Ireland.
- Strong insurance and reinsurance background preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and EU laws and regulations.
- Experience dealing with the CBI, FCA, PRA and/or Lloyd’s.
- Must be a team player and very collegial.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment.
