Description:
We are looking for a full-time talented Assistant Vineyard Manager to join our team, This role involves managing daily operations, supervising vineyard workers, and ensuring all tasks, from planting to harvest, are conducted efficiently and safely.
Location: Hastings
Requirements: You must have a Bachelor of Viticulture AND minimum 12 months working experience in a similar field.
Job duties
- Develop and implement seasonal work plans to ensure optimal planting, pruning, pest control, and harvesting schedules.
- Collaborate with the Vineyard Manager to set annual production targets and strategize operations to meet these goals.
- Organize daily and weekly work schedules, allocating resources effectively to maximize productivity and grape quality.
- Monitor grape development and conduct regular assessments of vine health, crop yield, and quality.
- Lead, train, and motivate vineyard staff to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
Preference will be given to NZ citizens and resident visa holders
