QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimally Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and 15 years of relevant experience
- At least 3 years direct engineering experience for creating and delivering solutions for operations through automation / innovation
- Experience in people leadership and communicating with leadership across various functions & departments
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong decision making and critical thinking
- Strong ability to manage customer expectations
- Technical understanding of Advanced Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 Technologies

We are searching for an experienced, Innovation Leader to join our growing Operations Modernization team. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities such as managing the local Digital and Automation & Robotics teams, working closely with EH&S and Finance, and adherence to any current & future Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) grant commitments.
The iHub Lead will continue to find synergies within the Enterprise as we continue to grow the capabilities of the Innovation Hub (iHub).
We are looking for an experienced cross-functional leader comfortable executing in ambiguous situations, and able to quickly come up to speed to work autonomously across a fast moving demand. Horsepower is critical but passion for our mission and a willingness to be flexible in helping us accomplish is a must.
Suitable candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate the business value up, down and across the organization.
As the Associate Director of the Singapore iHub, you will partner with the Strategic Business Units, Digital Technologies, Applied Research & Technologies, and RTX for rapid assessment for new technologies that can scale within Collins manufacturing sites.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the short term and long term iHub operational and execution plan
- Define and meet KPIs for I4.0 Transformation (cost savings, automation hours, connected machines)
- Develop short term and long term technical roadmap to include return on investment.
- Evaluate and oversee the budget, schedule and technical performance of i-Hub, oversee optimization strategy implementation, and ensure strategic usage of resources
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for iHub to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results
- Manage the hiring, career development and performance management of the team
- Develop a team responsible for innovation projects in Digital and Automation/Robotics solutions under the Singapore Innovation Hub for manufacturing and aftermarket repair
- Collaborate cross functionally with engineering team members and other groups
- Develop solutions to difficult technical problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity
- Oversee the delivery of products within budget, schedule and quality guidelines
- Work jointly with the wider organization on alignment of new projects, developing business cases, holding stake holder reviews for project acceptance into the Innovation Hub
- Interface with executive management to report on finances, risks, and opportunities for growth
- Support and review the process for make vs buy on technical solutions for teams to work
