The broader insurance group in Sydney have extensive experience working with both domestic and international insurers amongst other corporates across multiple lines of work, with a particular depth of expertise in professional indemnity, financial institutions, directors’ and officers’ (D&O), property and construction, energy, cyber, marine, transport and commercial litigation / employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent
• Experience, from a reputable commercial litigation team
• Prior trade credits exposure is desirable but any Federal Court litigation experience would be advantageous.
• E-litigation or discovery experience would be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
• High level of professionalism and integrity; displaying the highest standard of professional ethics.

ROLE

Kennedys is looking for a full-time Associate with 3-5 years PAE to join our busy litigation practice in Sydney. The successful person will work closely with two Partners and senior lawyers primarily on multi-party Federal Court litigation which has reached the discovery phase.
The focus of this work is in the insurance and trade credit space, which will involve working closely with our international offices (namely London). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate to play a key role in this stream of work with the support of paralegals in the wider team.
