JOB SUMMARY

Associate Project Manager supports the management of quality improvement/evidence-based practice projects to improve project planning coordination under the direction of a Program/Project Manager. Oversees planning, implementation, and tracking of small-scale projects with a particular focus on academic/medical education quality projects. Provides overall coordination for project work and integration of efforts of various project teams. Assists in resource allocation while following established standards and methods for project management. Provides guidance for process improvement methodologies.
Attends project meetings and assists with determination of project requirements. Assists in development of project plans and schedules. Utilizes project administration tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures. Provides day-to-day support to academic projects ensuring all deliverables are at an acceptable level of quality before proceeding to the next. Assists in identifying, assessing, and facilitating resolution of business and technical problems/issues/risks. Assists in post-close analysis of process improvement for future projects.
Under the direction of a Program/Project Manager, assists in the development procedures, processes, and milestones while working with management staff to resource projects accordingly. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project team including resident physicians, fellows, and medical students. Ensures effective communication between all members of the project team by ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection and dissemination of project information. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
May require occasional travel between work sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of two years’ progressively responsible work experience, preferrably in stewardship projects or programs. Must have project management experience across full project lifecycle.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired. Depending on area, may require valid driver’s license.
Those working in the clinical research setting are required to obtain the following:
Certification through Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) required within two years of employment into position.
If an RN, must also be licensed with the applicable State Nursing Board and/or possess multistate licensure privileges as required by position.
