We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical abilities and excellent interpersonal skills. The role involves managing various accounting functions, including maintaining accurate records of assigned accounts and conducting fundamental financial analysis. You will be responsible for generating and interpreting financial statements and reports for supervisors, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Key duties include monthly account reconciliations, basic journal entries, and diligent recordkeeping. Additionally, you will communicate any discrepancies or issues promptly to your supervisor and collaborate effectively with colleagues to research, discuss, and resolve financial challenges.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of Oracle (preferred)

Salary Range: $25.83 to $32.29 per hour commensurate with experience (equivalent to $53,726.40 - $67,163.20 annually)

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
  • General Accounting;
  • Basic understanding of regulatory accounting practices;
  • Accounting Department Procedures;
  • Preparing basic reconciliations;
  • Preparing journal entries;
  • Preparing spreadsheets;
  • Software applications related to area;
  • Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws;
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn, takes ownership and accountability for work product;
  • Be flexible in changing work environments;
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION/ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in Accounting or related field (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job consists of sitting, speaking, hearing, reading, typing, writing, and detailed inspection. This job may consist of repetitive motions, reaching overhead, standing, bending/stooping, walking, and lift up to twenty (20) lbs.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for a variety of accounting functions including maintaining records of assigned accounts, and performing basic financial analysis. Generate and interpret financial records and statements for supervisors. Perform recordkeeping pertaining to accounts including reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis and performing basic journal entries. Communicate any issues with supervisor on a timely basis and work with coworkers to research, discuss, and develop a solution to the issue.
