Who we need:
Reporting to the Manager of Admissions (MOA), or the Associate Director of Admissions (ADOA), the Admissions Associate is responsible for assisting Admissions Advisors by pre-qualifying prospective students with their program of interest. This position assists with providing services to prospective students, in alignment with our corporate strategic imperatives. Specific responsibilities include: conducting high volume outreach to prospective students, ensuring their program of interest is aligned with their educational and professional goals, scheduling follow up appointments for Admissions Advisors, and conducting live transfers. What you will do:
- Conducting high volume outreach to prospective students, ensuring their program of interest is aligned with their educational and professional goals and assisting with their questions.
- Pre-qualifying the prospective students with their program of interest, scheduling follow up appointments for Admissions Advisors, and conducting live transfers.
- Supporting with the completion of the day-to-day responsibilities of the Admissions Associates team, to support the Admissions Advisors, and corporate strategic imperatives.
- Actively participating in the collection, review and analysis of data, the adherence to policies and procedures, and working with applicable applications to support the administration of the Associate function.
- Collaborating with colleagues in other teams and may assist with small projects or cross-functional initiatives, to support the strategic imperatives.
- Contributing to a positive corporate culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.
- Upholding the integrity of YEC’s programs and complies with provincial legislation.
Work hours will be as follows:
Week 1 - Monday to Friday 1pm - 9pm
Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 1pm -9pm, Saturday 10am - 4pm
What you bring:
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service and Sales, including experience with meeting and exceeding established key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or international equivalent).
- Listening, recognizing, and considering the needs of prospective students to provide them with educational solutions.
- Managing company generated leads and encourage qualified students to meet with their Admissions Advisor.
- Ability to demonstrate high call volumes and outstanding customer service.
- Experience working in fast paced settings considered an asset.
- Verbal and written communication skills; experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams).
- Supporting the Admissions team in all relevant marketing activities or recruiting events.
- Outstanding telephone skills and demeanor.
- Self-discipline and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (written and oral) and attention to detail.
- An entrepreneurial attitude towards individual performance; results and goal oriented.
