Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid-Level Aircraft Machinist to support the Emergent Operations Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follows general instructions, reads and interprets complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines
  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry
  • Assists the team in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years’ experience setting up CNC machines
  • 3+ years of experience operating 3, 4, or 5 axis NC/CNC machine tools
  • Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of 787 Program Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a team environment
  • 3+ years’ experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, electrical schematics, and reading and interpreting blueprints or drawings
  • 3+ years’ experience using manual mill and lathe machines
  • 3+ years’ experience setting up and fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines, i.e. with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
