Associate, Antitrust
Are you ready to make your mark as part of the growing and high-profile Antitrust practice in our London office?
As an associate, you will leverage your excellent analytical skills and good judgment to advise clients on multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, State aid, compliance, foreign direct investment (FDI) and foreign subsidies regulation (FSR) matters. You will be highly organised, self-motivated, and a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.
Our team has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of antitrust work, having played pivotal roles in some of the most high-profile UK and European cases in recent years. From landmark M&A deals to groundbreaking cartel and antitrust litigation, your expertise will be deployed at the forefront of significant legal developments, and you will work on cases that set legal precedents.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Qualified solicitor with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in antitrust and competition law.
  • Experience in advising on multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, dominance, and State aid. Experience in FDI and FSR would be helpful but not essential.
  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative thinker.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Able to interact positively at all levels and be a good team player.
  • Driven by professional growth with strong professional presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartel, State aid, compliance, foreign direct investment (FDI) and foreign subsidies regulation (FSR) matters.
  • Have a high degree of autonomy and manage and coordinate antitrust filings and represent clients in investigations and competition litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft filings, RFI responses, submissions to competition authorities and other key documents.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, assisting with and implementing firm-wide strategies.
  • Engage proactively with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with Partners and mentor junior team members.
  • Develop and share legal and sector knowledge both internally and externally.
