We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Aquatic Director to join our team in our aquatic programs!

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE:

As an Associate Aquatic Director, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and quality of our aquatic facilities across all YMCA branches. Your expertise will help us provide outstanding aquatic programs and ensure our staff are well-trained and prepared. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to lead and inspire, all while embodying the YMCAs core values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Adheres and complies to program standards including assisting in maintenance, safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist as a fill-in Aquatics leader at any branch as needed.
  • Teach CPR classes at least once per month at rotating YMCA branches.
  • Teach/assist Lifeguard classes at least once per month at rotating YMCA branches.
  • Teach/assist YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor training at least once per quarter at rotating YMCA branches.
  • Maintains Youth Center pool on a weekly basis including cleaning, keeping accurate records for water readings and maintenance cleaning schedules when required.
  • Help get the Youth Center pool ready for pool inspection in May.
  • Know and enforce aquatic rules, procedures, policies, and guidelines. Report problems and violations to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend and assist with all home branch in-service trainings. Attend and assist with any other branch in-service trainings when requested and available.
  • Complete other duties and obtain additional training as assigned by the supervisor.
