Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled mid-level Associate Attorney to join our growing team in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in contract law and corporate law and, ideally, experience in international mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized Nigerian university.
- Successful completion of the Nigerian Law School Bar Final Examinations.
- 5 years of relevant experience in contract law and corporate law.
- Experience in international M&A is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian corporate law and regulatory framework.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to: sales agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and joint venture agreements.
- Advise clients on corporate governance matters, including company formation, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues related to contract law, corporate law, and M&A.
- Assist in due diligence processes for M&A transactions.
- Support senior attorneys in all aspects of M&A transactions, including deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on current legal developments and best practices in relevant areas of law.
- Manage client relationships effectively and provide exceptional client service.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
