Responsibilities:

WHAT IMPACT CAN YOU MAKE IN THIS ROLE?

You will be part of a team that is an integrated investment service team that partners the business in providing services to support public markets investment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A DERIVATIVES OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE/ AVP?

Support the Business in Trading Activities of Derivatives Asset Classes:

  • Trade processing for various derivatives instruments
  • Asset servicing for OTC and Exchange-traded derivatives.
  • Ensure prompt receipt and matching of trade confirmations
  • Ensure timely settlement for all trades across global markets, ensuring sufficient funding and adherence to both internal and custodian banks’ cut-off times

Operational Coordination and Service Level Management:

  • Collaborate with external counterparties, brokers, and service providers to resolve operational issues and assess their service levels, ensuring all services meet the required standards
  • Engage with external vendors (brokers, counterparties, clearers, custodian banks, industry groups) to stay informed about market developments

New Product and Market Implementation:

  • Assess and implement new products and markets for investment by portfolio managers

System and Process Enhancements:

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and continuous process improvements
  • Engage in cross-team projects to foster collaboration
  • Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and quality; design and integrate solutions into existing processes
  • Utilize technological and automation tools, combined with a strong understanding of business needs, to streamline work processes

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS IN THIS ROLE?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years in Investment Operations, preferably with a focus on Derivatives
  • Strong drive to deliver excellent work, with attention to detail, creativity, and meticulousness
  • Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and collaborative skills
  • Stay updated with industry developments, resourceful, and able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Good team player who collaborates well with internal and external counterparts, self-motivated, and thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Experience interacting with investment professionals and traders is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of macros, SQL, Tableau, Power Automate and Python is advantageous
