JOB SUMMARY:

As a pivotal member of the Marketing Team the Associate Brand Manager (ABM) position must help deliver strong business performance by accelerating our growth and share in retail channels. The ABM works with the Marketing Director and cross functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance, to identify, plan and execute projects and priorities with excellence. The ABM must be an excellent communicator and problem solver, often serving as the innovation business lead internally and with external partners.
With a unique opportunity to impact both the core business and emerging brands, the ABM must possess a creative, solutions-oriented mindset, with strong analytical skills to synthesize data into action. The ABM will regularly evaluate trends and opportunities using syndicated data and consumer research to assess business performance and identify opportunities for growth. This role will also assist in the innovation budget, planning and forecasting process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Business and/or Marketing Concentration
  • 1-3 years of Brand Management experience or 3-5 years relevant marketing experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills – ability to analyze inputs, opportunities and develop strategy
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to inspire and lead cross functionally with internal and external teams, as well as agency partners
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills – comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Comfort with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy – Development of innovation brand plans, forecast and marketing objectives to achieve long-term and short-term business goals, including strategic planning, brand positioning, brand voice, and brand personality.

  • Leading strategy and execution of innovation projects to deliver annual growth across multiple brands.

  • Project Management – Lead product, packaging, communications and other projects, working across cross-functional teams, agency partners and external vendors to deliver results.
  • Management of cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization, driving timelines and deliverables for all stakeholders.
  • Managing agency partners in the development and execution of the brand identity across marketing touch points.
  • Analytics and Tracking – Responsible for analyzing brand performance and competitive environment to identify problems, opportunities and trends, as well as leading reporting of key business metrics.
  • Marketing Execution – Execute elements of the marketing plan for assigned brands, including new product launches, price promotions, in-store creative, media plans, social/digital communications, event marketing, and market research projects.
  • Ad Hoc Projects for the Marketing team, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
