SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources complemented by related work experience in a human resources generalist role.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role providing support on employee/labour relations, investigations, performance management and engagement
  • Knowledge of HR practices and principles
  • Knowledge and experience of Federal employment legislation (e.g., CLC)
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrates consulting and coaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • CHRP designation or in progress considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
  • A positive attitude and client-driven approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Lead Business Partner, the Associate Business Partner will provide expert guidance to business leaders on key areas such as employee and labour relations, conflict resolution, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and recruitment. As a vital partner to our management teams, you’ll play a crucial role in driving our People & Culture initiatives. In this role, you will support all four of our major Global News markets across Canada.
