Description:
Location: HWY 403 & Dundas St W, Mississauga
Shift: This position will provide a full time hybrid schedule covering Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm, with 2-3 days onsite at our facility. Availability to work outside these hours to cover our operations as needed will be required.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Associate Category Manager, Factor who will help us build out and improve our vendor network and continuously improve our end-to-end sourcing process for the Factor brand. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will contribute to and execute our strategic roadmap, manage vendor relationships, support negotiations, launch new ingredients and packaging, and streamline internal procurement processes. As part of the Procurement team, you will play a key role in improving our costs, ingredient quality, supply chain reliability, and product innovation - helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Support development and execution of our sourcing strategy, driving improvements in:
- Cost: consistently optimize our cost base
- Quality: identify and reduce quality errors; build Ready-To-Eat specific solutions
- Reliability: ensure supply availability and proactively mitigate risk in the supply chain
- Customer offering: drive product innovation and create an unique competitive advantage
- Leverage large internal datasets and industry benchmarks to: report on team progress against objectives, identify and prioritize new opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Lead and/or support vendor negotiation and selection process for multiple commodity groups
- Manage new and existing vendor relationships, providing feedback on performance and collaborating on key initiatives
- Work with our in-house culinary team to prioritize and develop new products that deliver improved value for our customers
