We’re looking for an Associate Director Civil Engineer to join our growing Water Solutions team in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of Uisce Éireann’s €10.2 billion capital delivery programme (to 2029), working on projects ranging from small rural sites to multi-million-pound schemes, covering both water and wastewater (infrastructure and non-infrastructure).
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to Uisce Éireann’s (UÉ) framework stated below as part of this investment:
- Framework for the Provision of Engineering Design Services: Established to provide a full range of design services to support UÉ delivering their Business Plan objectives. Typical commissions pass through the UÉ gateways, commencing at feasibility and continuing to design, contract appointment, site supervision and commissioning.
Working flexibly from the Dublin office, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team and will provide technical leadership on projects, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes by reviewing the work produced by others. Your team will deliver projects from inception to delivery, creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities. By joining AECOM, you’ll be provided with a comprehensive benefit package, including competitive pay, highly rated healthcare, a company pension and a car allowance.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Oversee efficient project delivery, managing risk and ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule.
- Ensure quality management, compliance with standards and regulations, and offer technical expertise for interdisciplinary studies.
- Drive success in work winning through bid management, tender production, and proposal preparation.
- Actively contribute to the resourcing and management of both local and wider teams.
- Take online management responsibilities, guiding and managing junior staff, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Support the development of junior team members by mentoring them in both technical work and their progression towards EI or ICE accreditation.
If you’re passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don’t just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives. READY TO PUSH THE LIMITS OF WHAT’S POSSIBLE?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification, or demonstratable equivalent experience.
- A strong technical water sector background with particular emphasis on wastewater treatment and network, feasibility and design experience.
- Experience delivering schemes for relevant clients and knowledge of relevant industry and Irish codes and standards.
- Chartered with a relevant institution e.g. EI, ICE, or CIWEM.
- A strong desire to provide guidance, mentoring and technical advice to support junior staff, both on projects and to help progress their chartership journey.
We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and abilities.
