We are seeking Associate Coastal Water Quality Modellers to join our thriving team, working on impactful projects across the UK and overseas. As an Associate Coastal Water Quality Modeller, your daily activities will include developing and agreeing on the scope of services and supervising junior resources. You will have a strong grasp of project procedures, including change control, report writing, presentation skills, and quality assurance through checking and reviewing. You will be responsible for conducting advanced numerical modelling studies to support coastal, estuarine, and marine projects. Your expertise in MIKE21, Delft3D, and TELEMAC will be crucial in simulating and analysing hydrodynamic, sediment transport, and water quality processes.
You will be required to produce high-quality client-facing reports and lead coastal and water quality modelling and data analysis to support projects. Business development and work-winning will be key aspects of your role. You will lead bidding activities and promote the organisation’s capabilities through your industry credentials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Development and Calibration: Develop, calibrate, and validate hydrodynamic and water quality models using MIKE21, Delft3D, or TELEMAC.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret model outputs to assess coastal processes, sediment dynamics, and water quality parameters.
  • Project Management: Manage and execute modelling projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality of results.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers, to integrate modelling results into broader project frameworks.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and present modelling outcomes.
