Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Wholesale in Region Australia and New Zealand (RANZ) comprises Core Lending (CL), Portfolio Management (PM), Value Chain Finance (VCF), Markets and Sustainable Business Development. The primary focus of Wholesale Banking in RANZ is lending activities to the Food & Agribusiness (F&A) sector and funding the Energy Transition. This position is within the PM team and will provide commercial and business support to Wholesale.

This position will work in collaboration with the business units in realising Wholesale’s strategic objectives and provide general commercial and operational/business support.

  • This is a diverse role requiring involvement in a number of activities and the ability to manage multi and competing priorities is important.
  • Key to this role is exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide ongoing operational client support to the relationship management team.
  • The client lifecycle from on-boarding (excluding KYC), ongoing account and portfolio management and client off-boarding requirements.
  • Liaison between the front, middle and back-office functions to ensure an accurate, high level of service excellence to clients is always maintained.
  • Administration of routine day to day tasks associated with client management, in conjunction with all relevant Wholesale stakeholders and support units. Investigate and resolve issues relating to client facilities.
  • Accurate translation and management of facility documentation into the Bank’s core banking system in conjunction with the Wholesale Credit Administration Team.
  • Arranges corporate travel and meetings by developing itineraries and agendas; scheduling travel; booking transportation; arranging lodging and meeting accommodations.
  • Process expense accounts and invoices.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of internal Wholesale and client events.
  • Contributes to or completes projects (local and global) and special assignments as required.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the wholesale Intranet (RaboHub), including the organisational chart.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE:

  • Experience in a support/business manager or related role providing support and assistance to the business.
  • Experience in project coordination and/or management (desirable)
  • General banking/ administration skills and experience
  • Knowledge of Wholesale/Institutional banking will be favourably viewed.
  • Confident and articulate communicator
  • Organise work in a systematic, efficient, and effective way to achieve goals/deadlines.
  • Flexible collaborator with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across various business units.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Excel, Word, MS Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint
