Description:
Develop compelling content and implement communication strategies that enhance the company’s reputation among key stakeholders and establish the company as the best source of information for associates in all locations. Work with leaders to create and measure the effectiveness of company-wide communications across multiple channels. Serve as the primary writer and web content manager for multiple websites and newsletters. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Print production and web content management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Graphic design or photography skills
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to write for a wide variety of print and online collateral materials
- Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of teamwork, innovation and delivery of business communication results
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong research, writing and listening skills
- Travel to divisions to support communications teams, as well as attend conferences
- Support the executive announcement process
- Support Kroger s internal business social network and serve as a community manager for groups within the network
- Develop content for company meetings and events
- Provide policy guidance and governance support to key stakeholders regarding the company s intranet
- Develop/implement communications plans to support annual corporate fundraising events
- Create/distribute emails to corporate associates about area activities/events
- Collaborate and support a network of division/department Corporate Affairs associates, including communications managers, to improve communication effectiveness and build skills
- Produce a bi-monthly publication for associates; lead the writing/editing process and manage outside resources needed for design and print production
- Lead improvements in content gathering and news distribution methods based on audience feedback
- Lead web content management for multiple websites
- Coach associates, leaders and subject matter experts on strategies for sharing news/information to increase awareness of our purpose, business priorities and values
- Create and manage a weekly/monthly corporate communications content plan for news, information and feature stories to be distributed through the company s multiple web and print channels
- Develop creative content about our company s purpose and strategy that enhances Kroger s reputation through storytelling
