Position Status: Temporary Full-Time (12-month contract)

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The Associate, Community Partnerships is part of a dynamic team of fundraisers assisting the community hosting their own events and raising net proceeds for priority areas of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
As an Associate you will manage a $750,000.00 portfolio of third-party Community Partnerships. Acting as the primary relationship manager, you will develop, cultivate and steward supporters to ensure continued success and growth. Many of your relationships will be with patient families or those with a strong personal connection and affinity to SickKids. You are part of a passionate, dedicated team of professionals collaborating to deliver a best-in-class donor experience and achieve transformational growth in fundraising. This position reports to the Associate Director, Community Partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, Project Management or another related field
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in third party event fundraising
- Superior relationship management skills, with the ability to understand and respond to various levels of expectations from diverse stakeholders
- Ability in working with diaspora and/or newcomer communities
- Experienced in working with young professionals
- Experience with volunteer management
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Ability to drive initiatives, be resourceful, creative and flexible
