Description:

The primary role of an Associate Consultant – Analytics (Experienced Hire) is to support the delivery of strategic advice to senior client management through analytics and data know-how; deliver analytic modules with guidance from senior members of the team which involves various data gathering, data cleaning and analysis, modelling and interpretation of the results.
You will work directly with clients in conducting advanced analyses across a multitude of data sources and will play a significant role in team problem solving and delivering insights from the analyses.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for candidates with the highest level of communication and analytical skills. They will be able to demonstrate excellence in the following areas:

Key skills and competencies:

  • 1-4 years of work experience in analytics, ideally relevant to the industries OC&C serves, and undergraduate or postgraduate Degree in Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another quantitative field
  • Experience with data collection and preparation for modelling: data extraction, cleaning, merging and profiling
  • Experience in statistical analyses, modelling and ability to describe the analytic processes in their area of expertise, including when and why they would favour specific approaches
  • Familiarity of applying supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms to problems related to customer segmentation, behaviour prediction, response modelling, recommendations, optimisation and / or similar
  • Programming experience with R and/or Python
  • Job management/Teamwork: Collegial and collaborative; carries out fair share of work; consistently adds creative, insightful ideas; meets all deadlines; demonstrates ability to lead and motivate others well
  • Written communication: Efficiently create clear and concise written and graphical work for use in team settings and present complicated findings to a non-technical audience
  • Oral communication: communicates effectively in a structured and concise manner; relates well to client and consulting team members
