Role/Department:
The role within Depositary Operations is to ensure that Northern Trust fulfils its oversight/regulatory responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) & UCITS Directives.
The primary responsibilities will be in the area of Safekeeping of Assets and Asset Verification. Verification of “Other Assets” and familiarity with different fund structures and documentation required to confirm assets.

The key responsibilities of the role include

  • The ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment;
  • Ensuring reporting requirements for both internal and external clients are produced on a monthly basis.
  • Ability to perform Asset Verification activities, sourcing appropriate documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over “Other Assets”;
  • Participate in quarterly meetings with relevant parties to ensure Depositary Operations meet all governance requirements for assigned processes;
  • Review of exposure reporting on Market Oversight - Restricted/Watch Markets for multiple jurisdictions;
  • Involvement in review of existing processes and ensure procedures are being adhered to;
  • Ensure new clients and new fund launches are incorporated into relevant processes;

  • Fund administration experience, ideally in Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt or Fund of Fund asset classes.
