What You’ll Need
- 3+ years PQE in a law firm and/or in the legal team of a multinational company
- Active bar registration in Germany (if additionally in Poland, a big plus)
- German native speaker AND fluent in English.
- Fluency in Polish is a big plus
- Excellent legal and business judgment, communication, interpersonal skills and a crisp writing style
- Proven track record of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and advising on a range of commercial, regulatory and litigation issue
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a dynamic Associate Counsel to join our Legal Team in Germany, with a focus on our Delivery businesses in Germany and Poland. The position is based in Berlin while working in close collaboration with colleagues from across WSE & EMEA, and reporting into the lead counsel for the DACH region.
What You’ll Do
- Advise on a broad range of commercial and regulatory issues related to delivery in ways that are practical, commercially-focussed and future thinking
- Draft and negotiate key strategic contracts with restaurants and delivery partners
- Liaise with outside counsel and prepare case strategy with them
- Advise Marketing on innovative campaigns and initiatives
- Counsel Consumer Law-related matters and disputes
- Work closely with Employment, Policy, Tax, Communications, Privacy, Safety, Insurance, Antitrust, Corporate and Business teams to support regulatory engagement, strategic projects and to refine and shape business operations
