We’ve been in business nearly 50 years! We remain a privately held Los Angeles developer with an impressive portfolio of tens of thousands of units! We are seeking an experienced In House Counsel to provide legal guidance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in unlawful detainer, litigation, employment law, and general liability. This role involves managing various legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and representing the company in legal proceedings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as in house counsel or similar role.
• Minimum 3 years experience in litigation
• Proficiency in unlawful detainers, employment law, and general liability.
• Strong understanding of business litigation and real estate law.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Provide legal advice and support on matters related to unlawful detainer, employment law, and general liability.
• Manage litigation processes, including trial preparation and representation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect company interests.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to mitigate legal risks and provide training on legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments affecting the business.
