Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Associate Delivery Consultant, you will learn and experience how we apply technical expertise to ensure
world-class delivery using consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based
methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology
Expert Labs, you will be client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical to optimize and
trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

  • Developing Solutions to Reach True Business Value: Understanding clients’ main challenges and

developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through the phases of
design, development integration, implementation, migration and product support with a sense of

urgency.

  • Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for

installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.

  • Self-Motivated Problem Solving: Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity,

and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work

across the client, partner, and IBM team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for Data Security
  • Some experience delivering Data Security consulting and deployment projects
  • Experience in performing and supporting projects in one or more Data Security domain:

o Data security and monitoring
o Vulnerability assessment of data repositories
o Sensitive data discovery and classification
o Data encryption and tokenization

o Data Base user Entitlement

  • An understanding of data security compliance directives and mandates

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge and Hands-on experience with SQL language
  • Experienced with some database environments such as Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, UDB/DB2,

Informix, MySQL, Teradata and/or Sybase.

  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Experience working in Distributed environments.
  • Experience working in Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • An understanding of Enterprise architecture
  • An understanding of Cloud architecture
  • An Understanding of Network concepts

The consultant, working under minimal supervision will be internal advisor to other IBM consultants
and client teams. The consultant will implement the IBM Security software at customers with as
biggest focus to make the customers successful with IBM Software.
As a mature consultant you will identify gaps in the current environment and recommend best
practices or solutions to reduce client risk and increase their ability to deal with emerging threats and
risks to the organization
