As an Associate Designer at Unispace, you will play a pivotal role in pitching to clients and working closely with our Client Solutions and Pre-Construction teams. You will provide innovative commercial interior design workplace solutions. Your responsibilities include developing high-quality concept designs for pitches, tenders, and potential clients, and leading projects by coordinating design outputs with project consultants.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in commercial/workplace design with an impressive portfolio of projects.
  • Knowledge of local codes.
  • High proficiency in Revit.
  • Understanding of best method procurement.
  • Client-facing experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of design and build organizations, including project lifecycle from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency in using design tools.
  • Some experience working on healthcare or life science projects is preferred, but not a must.
  • Comfort with change and ambiguity, viewing them as opportunities to innovate.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead large and medium projects, including pre-project brief sessions, while managing multiple projects.
  • Develop and manage key studio client relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the design phase.
  • Manage self and team to achieve profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Principals to develop operational improvements.
  • Work with Delivery teams to ensure financial outcomes are met.
  • Align with the culture, values, and behaviors of Unispace.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, regions, and studios.
  • Drive studio initiatives to enhance design and business operations.
  • Support Principals in conducting design reviews at key project milestones.
  • Continuously enhance your design skills and stay current with market trends.
