Description:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in communications or related field

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Masters Degree in marketing or related field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years in marketing & communication, preferably relating to higher education
  • 5+ years experience developing and implementing events
  • Proven experience in experiential marketing, events, print, digital, paid media, PR and social media
  • Management experience in supervisory roles
  • Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English & Arabic (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to supervise staff member and foster collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with and across teams and to function well in a larger and global environment
  • Results and detail-oriented, highly organized and creative self-starter
  • Ability to set goals and easily adapt to changing demands
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required by admissions events

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Creative design/development experience, particularly using Adobe Creative Suite products

Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Manage paid media strategy for local, regional, and global marketing, manage agency relationships
  • Drive content marketing strategy in collaboration with the External Relations and Communications team to represent NYU Abu Dhabi across University-owned channels (website, MeetNYU, social media, presentation content, etc.)
  • Manage content for the admissions sections of NYU Abu Dhabi website: develop and oversee annual content calendar considering admissions cycle calendar, SEO, and routine process/content updates
  • Review, maintain and update annual NYUAD Admissions student communications
  • Oversee performance and optimization of marketing campaigns throughout cycle, including as-needed reports to leadership
  • Support NYUAD Admissions’ strategic communication needs, coordinate with NY based marketing team on direct marketing strategies; draft email communications in CRM and deploy using proper review and approval channels
  • Lead market research and assessment of all marketing initiatives
  • Ensure accuracy and brand fidelity of all touchpoints

Events

  • Oversee execution of in-person admissions events, day-to-day campus visit experience, and other strategic experiential opportunities for prospective student audiences
  • In conjunction with the central NYUAD events team, coordinate multi-team, multi-contributor efforts in executing large-scale events
  • Manage a strategic portfolio of virtual events to reach local and global audiences; oversee reporting on the effectiveness of experiential marketing efforts
  • Ensure on-brand delivery of all in-person and virtual touchpoints, including high-quality execution of event logistics

Management

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and direct management of Admissions marketing and event team in Abu Dhabi; lateral and indirect management of colleagues on project-basis
  • Relationship management across multiple key stakeholders on campus, including External Relations and Communications, Student Affairs, Alumni Relations, and Academic Divisions.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and belonging within the Admissions team and in partner offices across campus

Communications

  • Develop and drive marketing and communications strategy for NYUAD
  • Build relationships with key NYUAD campus partners in order to source stories for marketing materials, particularly NYUAD External Relations and Communications, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations
  • Communicate marketing plans, strategy, and outcomes to internal partners
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis in order to inform strategies, channels and messaging
  • Prepare reports on efficacy and impact of marketing efforts over course of admissions cycle; lead analysis to drive optimization
  • Generate campaigns to raise awareness for NYUAD among key influencers, including parents and high school counselors
  • Manage annual NYUAD marketing budget
  • Oversee all paid media campaigns that segment for US, international, and UAE students. Advertising includes print, SEM, social media, and display Network.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team in New York on all student search campaigns to increase quality leads for NYUAD.
  • Ensure clarity and continuity of student experience throughout prospect-to-enrolled student lifecycle
  • Oversee broad spectrum of NYUAD Marketing & Communications Efforts
  • In partnership with NYUAD Admissions, the Assistant Director and Marketing and Communications team in New York, develop marketing materials to serve the NYUAD admissions outreach team
  • Oversee research, writing, proofing and testing of colleagues and direct reports on all NYUAD marketing efforts
  • Review, maintain and update annual NYUAD Admissions student communications through enrollment funnel
  • Support NYUAD Admissions’ strategic communication needs utilizing the CRM (Slate), draft and deploy email communications using proper review/approval channels
  • Develop and oversee annual content calendar of updates and maintenance for admissions channel of nyuad.nyu.edu, and admissions related content on admissions.nyu.edu and meet.nyu.edu
  • Work closely with NYUAD External Relations and Communications team to ensure consistency and alignment with editorial and visual identity guidelines
  • Serve as key liaison and provide strategic guidance between EM Marketing and EM partners, including but not limited to Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, Office of Student Success
  • Oversight and implementation of experiential marketing and events
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the in-house events team, admissions colleagues, and campus partners to ensure the successful execution of all in-person and virtual event programs
  • In liaison with the central creative and design team, review and secure branded materials as needed for event experience (programs, presentations, etc.)
  • Lead communications efforts related to events: ensure clear registration processes, associated communications, etc.
  • AE-Specific Marketing
  • Manage all niche marketing efforts for UAE students and their influencers
  • Partner with NYUAD External Relations and Communications on all local marketing and public relations campaigns.
  • Develop partnerships with local communities and agencies to enhance reach among local audiences
