HELP LEAD THE TRANSFORMATION OF CLINICAL RESEARCH THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF INDUSTRY FIRST ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CAPABILITIES!
Lilly is looking for a Tech Lead for Artificial Intelligence and Automation Solutions for a large scale, multi-year transformation effort that will be reimagining how clinical trials are performed using AI and automation. This role is ideal for a person with a passion for applying innovative AI and automation methodologies and bring them to life in solutions that solve complex, real-world problems.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related scientific field.
- Experience developing and implementing AI and machine learning solutions.
- 8+ years’ experience leading full stack / multi-disciplinary software development teams (e.g., UI/UX, data, backend/API, system integration)
- Previous experience working with AWS, Azure AI, or other ML cloud services.
Responsibilities:
AI and Automation Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects, managing resources and prioritizing tasks across internal and external delivery teams.
Executional Excellence: Develop AI and automation focused rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts to assess technical feasibility of complex business problems though the oversight of small spike teams.
Establish Technical Vision and Direction: Set and communicate a clear technical vision and direction for solution delivery teams to go from proof of concept to fully scaled solutions.
Technical Excellence: Ensure teams are applying DevSecOps and architectural standards.
Technical Translation: Interpret intricate business needs into practical technical specifications, ensuring they line up with project objectives and technical limitations.
Cross-Disciplinary and Organization Collaboration: Effectively engage with colleagues to gather innovative ideas and insights, fostering a collaborative environment that inspires and motivates team members to innovate and explore creative solutions in AI development.
Ethics and Compliance in Development: Adhere to ethical guidelines in AI usage and data handling, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security.
