YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary level qualification in an Allied Health discipline
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in an acute health setting and proven ability to manage and lead effectively within a large complex health service
  • Extensive knowledge of and/or experience with clinical governance, quality improvement and workforce development
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification in Management, Public Health or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

This is a Permanent Full Time position as Associate Director Allied Health. In this role you will be responsible for development of an Allied Health Workforce Strategy with particular focus on recruitment, retention, alternative models of allied health service delivery and ensuring Allied Health professionals operate at top of scope in the context of increasing demand and complexity. Portfolio responsibilities will also include quality, safety and accreditation preparation, informatics including performance reporting, funding and grant applications.
You will make a significant contribution to the overall leadership, strategic direction and operational performance of allied health services and programs in line with the RCH vision - A world where all kids thrive. This involves ensuring the highest quality care and patient outcomes, strong staff engagement and support and effective relationships with consumers.
