Description:
YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:
- At least 7 years’ experience in a similar analytical position
- Undergraduate degree required (Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Operations, or related area).
- Strong background in Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire)
- Demonstrated expert level understanding of data analytics, business analysis, and data visualization.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects and effectively communicate and present to senior stakeholders.
- Creative thinker, problem solver and innovator, willing to initiate changes, introduce new ideas.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showing high level of initiative.
- Integrity and high ethical standards.
- Stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Associate Director, Country Operations Metrics and Insights leverages the advanced capabilities of Country Operations Management (COM) and Digital Health R&D Self-Service Analytics to respond quickly to complex business demands on analytics and insights. This position is responsible for delivering high standards of work, planning, directing and overseeing, a wide range of analyses that are related to current and future improvements within COM. As a leader, this position develops and monitors a range of projects involving insights and analytics.
The Associate Director, Country Operations Metrics and Insights provides data analysis support to COM Leadership Team and COM Countries, with rapid development of reports and/or dashboards to monitor program and operational performance.
- Drives strategic collaboration and insights through advanced analytics that identify opportunities, supports high-level decision making, and optimizes business performance.
- Leads the communication of derived insights, using advanced visualization techniques including data storytelling and user-centered design.
- Works closely with Regional Heads, Heads of Country Operations and Country Operations Management (COM) countries to ensure analytics are focused on strategic Regional/Country/Studies and priorities.
- Applies analytical techniques to uncover business insights and trends or patterns in data that are critical for business strategy.
- As a subject matter expert, oversees data quality and data stewardship functions to maintain data accuracy and identify new metrics, liaising with other internal functions such as Clinical Data Management, Portfolio & Program Management, R&D Finance and resource, etc.
- Maintains Country Operations resourcing algorithms up to date, to ensure demand is appropriate, utilizing stakeholder feedback and portfolio information, e.g. MYTIME actuals, PLANIT information, etc.
- Partners with R&D Finance to build and maintain Country level functional Reporting to monitor spend against Budget.
- Partners with key stakeholders to ensure analytic resources and development are aligned with strategic business priorities.
- Participates in multiple strategic initiatives requiring data preparation and analysis such as Business Cases preparation, Management presentations, Control Tower, Resourcing Management, etc.
- Utilizes programming skills to enhance data integration, automation, and visualization processes.
- Implements and manages advanced data analytics platforms and tools to support complex data queries and model development. Works with data owners and other stakeholders to maintain alignment to data quality and data governance standards.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Consolidating and analyzing COM performance metrics and reporting output to COM Leadership.
- COM internal and external data governance, metrics/KPI’s/KRI’s validation, documentation, preparation, and alignment
- Performing root cause analysis to identify issues and formulate innovative solutions.
- Supporting the design of programmatic analyses and reporting capabilities in addition to defining business requirements for new analysis while performing ad-hoc data analysis as directed.
- Designing and developing data flows to aggregate information from multiple sources to deliver strategic insights through advanced visualization.
- Interpreting global study portfolio demand and translating it to country-level priorities to enable COM leaders at global, regional and country level to plan and optimize resources for the short and long term.
- Data visualization to provide cross-functional strategic analytics services, supporting decision-making and supplier/CRO financial evaluation.
