Role & department
The Corporate Planning and Governance team focusses on facilitating and managing multiple processes around strategy development, anchoring and execution. This is a pivotal role in driving Genmab’s ambition as we march towards our 2030 vision.
As (Associate) Director you and your fellow team members will be responsible for defining and developing various processes related to managing and anchoring Genmab’s strategic roadmap, as well as overseeing and implementing these processes.
This role involves working closely with all levels of management and functions across Genmab to ensure understanding and effective translation and monitoring of progress against our strategic roadmap and related strategic initiatives. Your goal will be to ensure that strategic activities are well defined, making them measurable so progress can be tracked, and conversations are backed by objective insights.
Specific focus therefore will be on turning strategic initiatives into clear programs and promoting a metric-driven approach to help Genmab effectively steer its strategy and achieve the benefits.
The (Associate) Director will ensure our leadership teams understand and fulfill their roles in guiding this transformational journey by embracing and supporting a metric-driven mindset. The (Associate) Director will work with many stakeholders across the organization and, together with the Corporate Planning and Governance team, implement and utilize a benefit realization framework.
The (Associate) Director will report to the Sr. Director and Global Head of Corporate Planning and Governance. As the Corporate Planning & Governance department is a relatively new function at Genmab. The (Associate) Director of Corporate Planning & Governance brings an entrepreneurial and creative spirit.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Process Development and Management

  • Oversee the development and refinement of the company’s strategic planning process, aligning with the strategic annual wheel and corporate planning calendar.
  • Develop methodologies and tools in close collaboration with the Strategy Office and Corporate Planning and Governance team members Strategic initiative translation
  • Work closely with all levels of management and functions across Genmab to ensure understanding and effective translation of the strategic roadmap in relevant strategic initiatives
  • Convert these strategic initiatives into well-defined programs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Metrics driven Organization

  • Identify and advocate Genmab’s metric-driven landscape by evaluating and describing the current maturity level of Genmab in using a metric-driven approach
  • Improve company goal setting process and develop key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics to measure success and track progress.
  • Further develop the strategy dashboard and monitor through dashboard review and company goal reporting.
  • Utilize a benefit realization framework to help define measurable outcomes and ensure data-driven decision-making
  • In close collaboration with your team members improve the Corporate Planning & Governance further shape these team responsibilities

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and various organizational functions to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Ensure leadership teams understand and act on their roles in guiding the transformation journey with a metrics-driven mindset.
  • Support governance and decision-making trough objective, data driven insights

  • The (Associate) Director of Corporate Planning & Governance will hold a high-profile position, playing a critical support role to the Executive Committee and functional leadership teams.
  • The person is a true team player and success in this role will require entrepreneurial, creative, and collaborative mindset.

Furthermore:

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and influence teams beyond individuals who are direct reports.
  • Acting as a liaison with cross-functional team members to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Establish and develop effective business relationships with key business functions to deliver solutions which align with business strategies.
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing global teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or related field.
  • 12 + years of experience in high paced, complex organizations, pharma/biotech experience preferred.
  • Potential Top tier consultancy exit .
