POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Director Finance for Nordics will be responsible for all finance aspect of the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland). He/She will be the key partner of the Nordics Commercial Leadership Team, providing financial leadership to the Nordics GM, to advance BMS strategy and achieve business and financial objectives. He/She will ensure high standards of integrity and stewardship of financials, playing a key role in developing the financial team in Nordics.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
- 2-4 years of experience managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and robust experience in internal controls. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work constructively across a complex matrix structure with multiple partners, providing clarity and prioritization.
- Strong financial planning and analysis background and extensive experience with business planning cycle, budgeting process, demand forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment often with aggressive deadlines and quick turnarounds.
- Highest level of integrity, work ethic and financial stewardship.
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems including SAP and Hyperion preferred.
- Pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
The Finance leader will be recognized as an influential and collaborative business partner who leads beyond the role and effectively interacts at all levels of the organization to shape and drive the achievement of Nordics goals and objectives through:
- Leadership of the financial planning process including the development and roll out of ambitious financial goals and targets that are grounded in facts and/or transparent assumptions for Nordics.
- Financial analysis and guidance on business activities, targets, and business drivers.
- Partnering closely with the GM of Nordics and be a member of the Nordics leadership team, promoting fact-based resource allocation decisions.
- Monitoring of business performance for the Nordics. Challenging results and developing recommendations to improve financial performance. Identification and communication of the financial risks and opportunities. Leadership in the execution of the plans or mitigation action plan implementation.
- Developing a high performing Nordics Finance team focused on effective business partnering, strong internal controls and effective accounting processes. Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with business partners and involved functions (Marketing, Medical, Sales, BI&A, Value Access & Pricing, etc.).
- Strong stewardship of financial operations and reporting with the highest level of integrity. Representing the company as Statutory Director in the Nordics.

- Drive transparent financial reporting that link market insights and past performance with outlook.
- Leverage BI&A capabilities to develop realistic sales forecast based on relevant market data.
- Articulate material risks/opportunities and lead design and execution of contingency plans.
- Drive continuous focus on simplification to enable maximum time for business support.
- Hold self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy.
- Effective communication of financial results and plans.
- Drive usage of financial and market data for making informed business decisions.
- Partner with Nordics LT and optimize resource allocation. Active role to influence stakeholders.
- Attract and develop strong finance talent leveraging the European und global network.
- Constantly scan for best practices and implement concepts as appropriate. Facilitate ongoing dialogue in the market to design, implement and maintain effective controls.
