Description:
Job #4738– Reporting to the Director of Finance, this growing not- for- profit organization is looking for an adaptable and communicative Associate Director of Finance to help support their finance team. Having experienced impressive growth over the last few years, they are in need of a confident individual with excellent people skills and a willingness to be hands on while mentoring, coaching and developing their team. This organization stands for a great cause and offers a very flexible schedule and a great work life balance. The successful candidate will have a chance to make a real difference and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage accounting operations including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting
- Ensure internal controls are in place and in accordance with applicable regulations
- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting and implementing improvements
- Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results
- Oversee performance management of the finance team and provide coaching, skill building and accountability
- Manager year-end external audits
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- CPA/CA/ACCA designation
- 5+ years of progressive financial experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- High degree of professionalism
Definite Assets:
- NetSuite
- Previous experience with Indigenous groups
Compensation:
- $145,000 – $150,000 annual salary range
