Job Description
Associate Director
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $101,900 to $127,400; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
The Associate Director, Fiscal & Grant Administration is responsible for managing a team of Grant Administrators and Fiscal & Procurement Specialists within the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences Service Center. The team is responsible for research grant administration and fiscal management of research funds for twenty-two departments. The Associate Director is responsible for setting clear priorities and goals and establishing practices and procedures. They also provide advice and guidance to faculty and staff regarding research policies and regulations to insure compliance.
The Associate Director also manages a portfolio of Principal Investigators providing post-award support including budgeting, personnel matters, procurement and payment requests, financial reporting and cost projections. This entails working closely with faculty and department staff to insure their needs are met.
The Associate Director works closely with the Director of the Service Center and is a liaison to other departments within the university including: the Office of Sponsored Programs, Human Resources, and Procurement.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of research administration experience working with faculty with a focus on post award activities, Certified Research Administrator preferred
- A Bachelors degree in business administration or equivalent, MBA preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal regulations and experience in managing compliance with sponsor and university policies
- Demonstrated leadership in a research administration setting with minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage a complex workload with multiple demands and deadlines
