BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, or Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent subject matter work experience
  • At least 5 years of industry experience

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES

  • Direct experience with digital and/or direct media performance analysis
  • Familiarity with and/or understanding of varied data collection methods for Partner Media data including, but not limited to, direct data transfer and Partner APIs
  • Knowledge of R, SQL, SSIS or other statistical programming language
  • Robust excel modeling skills
  • Experience with Omnichannel, HCP Media or HCP Marketing
  • Experience with 1st & 3rd party data sources including: CRM, EHR, social, search, web analytics platforms, direct supplier sources, log files, etc.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with statistical modeling techniques
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with eye for business, and an ability to think strategically and objectively in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to simplify complexity, communicate clearly and instruct others
  • Demonstrated success in influencing without authority from associate to leadership levels
  • Consistent track record in delivering complex cross functional projects

Responsibilities:

Associate Director, BI&A HCP Media is responsible for collaborating across teams to evolve our best-in-class analytical approaches and measurement practices for digital and direct Healthcare Professional (HCP) Media. They play a critical role in our media analytics practice by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of healthcare professional (HCP) media data across various channels. They collaborate extensively with multi-functional teams to evolve our media data foundation for analytics and marketing technology (martech) enablement to enhance the value of media across Lilly.

  • Data Oversight: Ensure meticulous oversight of all processes related to HCP media performance and cost data, including systematic validation of accuracy and completeness across various communication channels. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to evolve preprocessing pipelines.
  • Unification of Media Data: Collaborate closely with domain experts to unify media data from disparate sources, implementing data integration strategies to create a cohesive view of HCP interactions across channels. Serve as Data Product Owner for multiple sources.
  • Reporting and Insights: Lead the development and maintenance of interactive media performance dashboards. Drive requirements to enable self-serve and guided analytics, prioritizing key business decisions for efficiency and effectiveness. Proactively coordinate learning, knowledge sharing, and training across teams, ensuring analytical insights are shared and applied.
  • Tagging and Taxonomy: Lead efforts related to media tagging and taxonomy for HCP media data while collaborating with consumer media to define standardized tags, categories, values, and deployment with an aim to enhance data organization and search-ability. Enact consistent practices & processes across platforms in collaboration with Media Operations.
  • Innovate: Continually upskill, embed and motivate change tied to new and evolving practices around personalization, content, real time, etc.
  • Data Compliance: Ensure compliance with all privacy and contractual obligations related to the use of data.
  • Business Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of HCP media execution, performance, Brand/Business Unit strategies, media objectives, and data sources.
  • Organizational Change & Stakeholder Management: Develop and lead collaborative relationships with stakeholders and teammates, championing data-driven organizational change.
  • New Opportunities: Other Key Initiatives / Special Projects on an ongoing basis.
