    Your day as an Associate Director
    The Policy and Budget group at NSW Treasury works with government agencies and the community to provide advice on financial management, policy reform, and resource allocation. They also manage the state Budget and support strong public finances.
    The Justice & Emergency Services (JES) Branch, part of the Health & Stronger Communities (HSC) Division, manages Treasury’s engagement with agencies in the Communities & Justice portfolio. JES provides strategic advice on financial and non-financial performance across various policy areas, including the justice and courts system, Police, corrective services, and emergency services. The Branch values a team-focused and supportive culture, emphasising diversity, wellbeing, and flexible working.
    As an Associate Director in the JES Branch, you will lead efforts to deliver high-quality outcomes that support strategic project and policy development, implementation, and evaluation. Your key responsibilities include analysing and advising on policy, regulatory, financial, and economic issues facing government agencies. This role requires establishing strong relationships with Treasury and agency contacts to collaboratively monitor performance and implement change.
    Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.
