We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Associate Director of Sales to join our Toronto sales team. The successful candidate will initially serve as the Associate Director, with the expectation of transitioning to the Director position within 6-12 months.
An integral contributor to the success of a client-first culture, this dynamic role interfaces with all areas of the business to ensure a premium client experience. The role is centered around driving long-term customer loyalty by providing support to Avenue Road’s Toronto sales team. The multifaceted role requires a confident, steady personality who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen opportunities with leading A+D, commercial, hospitality, retail firms across Ontario and Eastern Canada
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Owning and managing an established book of business particularly focused on Contract clients.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities to expand Avenue Road’s market presence.
  • On-going sales monitoring and analysis
  • Developing new business development and retention strategies
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Manage daily showroom operations
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management
  • Represent Avenue Road at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required

Requirements

  • Furniture contract sales experience (10 + years)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably in the luxury or contract furniture industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends.
  • Excellent computer skills in Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word.
  • Experience with CRM, and inventory/database, preferably SAP B1.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a G-Class license.
