Exceptional research background with expertise in designing robust methodologies
Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing research teams from various cultural backgrounds, including a strong aptitude in coaching and mentoring team members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and ensure research insights are delivered effectively.
Strong proficiencies in managing a global research center of excellence, specifically data storytelling, program management, strategy and planning, complex problem solving, reporting, and measurement and evaluation.
Passion and aptitude in developing LEAN operations and driving continuous improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with AI and its potential impact on research methodologies.
Preferred experience in a major management consulting firm, or similar organization

The Role: Associate Director, Research Design and Consulting
The Team: The Associate Director, Research Design and Consulting will be responsible for leading a team of skilled research analysts and designing robust research methodologies to explore whitespace opportunities for S&P Global Commodity Insights customers and prospective markets. This senior leader joins an exceptional team that has a strong track record in supporting global Sales teams via account planning and market research. This role requires proven experience and expertise in both research design and sales consulting, partnering with Commercial teams to identify and capitalize on market trends as well as leveraging the potential of AI to build operational advantages.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

Design and implement innovative research methodologies, including growth research techniques, to uncover whitespace opportunities and support revenue growth for a Fortune 500 company.
Manage research programs, including planning, execution, and evaluation, with an exciting opportunity to use data storytelling techniques to communicate research findings and shape the Commercial agenda of S&P Global Commodity Insights, a world leading provider of energy and commodities data, insights and technology solutions.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of research analysts and research managers, providing guidance and support to ensure best-in-class research output and insights that help advance the Commercial initiatives Commodity Insights.
Collaborate with the division’s top Customer Experience and Commercial leaders and global stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into research strategies.
Tackle complex research and operational challenges amid a fast-paced Commercial environment, establish a culture of continuous improvement to elevate research processes, and establish measurement and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of research initiatives.
Create a vision for the future by taking into account strategic priorities, industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI. Lead the team with empathy and confidence through organizational changes and business transformation.
