EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in a senior security role within a multinational corporation, with proven experience in managing complex security programs across multiple regions. Government experience at the appropriate level may be applied to this requirement. Previous work experience in multiple countries desired.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in political science, International Relations, Security, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are preferred.
- Background: Previous experience in military, law enforcement, intelligence services, or international governmental organizations is desirable but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Manages the development and implementation of an effective global security strategy and program to mitigate risk, safeguard the organization’s human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations under site leadership and guidance from Global Security VP. The role manages the regional security program to align with its corporate objectives and address all aspects of security for the organization’s global businesses. To include investigations, administrative security, physical security, personnel security, security education and training, contingency planning, crisis management, emergency preparedness and executive personal protection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive regional security strategy aligned with BSC objectives and values. Ensure that security policies and procedures are effectively communicated and maintained across all business units.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor geopolitical developments that may impact BSC operations, employees, and business travelers.
- Crisis Management: Oversee crisis management planning and response efforts, ensuring readiness for various scenarios including natural disasters, civil unrest, or other emergencies.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into security incidents, collaborating with local law enforcement and third-party vendors as necessary. Ensure timely reporting and corrective actions are taken to prevent future occurrences.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including government agencies, to enhance security capabilities and response strategies.
- Training and Awareness: Develop training programs to ensure all employees understand security protocols and emergency response procedures. Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.
