Description:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You will contribute to the establishment of a service that enables R&D customers to request data, whether internal or from external collaborators, and ensure its cataloguing in-situ or import and hosting on data platforms. You will take a customer-driven approach to achieve outcomes, focusing on meeting customer needs and expectations in the data request and provisioning process. You will act as a key point of customer engagement for data-hosting requests, acting with a strong customer-service focus.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated ability to take a customer-driven approach, delivering outcomes that meet customer needs and expectations
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and improving operational processes in service delivery
  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and disseminating a service knowledgebase, along with developing an associated awareness program for customers.
  • Experience in responding to service requests and managing demand within the framework of established processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Business process mapping expertise: using as-is and to-be process mapping and ability to author requirements or other structured technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in complex and dynamic environments
  • A degree in a Data Management or equivalent experience
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-graduate degree in a Data Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience in organizational change
  • Solid understanding of data management regulations and best practices
  • Experience in the Life sciences
  • Demonstrable experience in a data analyst or business analysis role aligned to data and information management

Responsibilities:

Join AstraZeneca’s R&D Data Office, an industry-leading enabler of data and AI strategy. We are looking for an Associate Director, Service Operations Specialist to help establish a customer-centric data service and develop the underpinning processes and resources. You will ensure that the data that is imported and hosted is done so compliantly and efficiently. As the service matures, your responsibilities will broaden to include other data services such as provisioning to internal AstraZeneca customers and our research collaborators.
