ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, STRATEGY, PLANNING AND INNOVATION (ENERGY), TEMPORARY, SYDNEY

This role is a 3-year temporary role. It is a salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $139,787 - $161,663 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join us as the Associate Director, Strategy, Planning and Innovation (Energy). In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading our efforts to coordinate infrastructure, focusing on advancing the energy transition. Your responsibilities will include coordinating enabling infrastructure required for the Electricity Roadmap, identifying risks to the achievement of the NSW Government’s energy transition ambitions, and advising on NSW Government investment.

Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

  • Leading analysis to identify interfaces between the delivery of electricity infrastructure roadmap and actions required of the rest of government to deliver the roadmap, including planning approvals and delivery of enabling infrastructure.
  • Managing and delivering key outputs to relevant working groups, steering committees, and Cabinet to inform senior stakeholders of the accountabilities of various NSW Government agencies, including a schedule of actions required of agencies.
  • Providing advice and delivering outputs while working in a fast-paced environment with evolving scopes and workstreams.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders to allow the gathering of information and to influence outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment.
