THE IMPACT:

The role will help to foster this group’s objective to cement its position as a top player in the ESG, Climate, Energy Transition, data / analytics space and help the management team make critical investment and strategic decisions.

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced communication skills. This includes the ability to simplify complex concepts and messages to the essential components and deliver these effectively to a wide range of audiences
Highly developed skills in navigating a complex, heavily matrixed, global organization
Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple projects / activities at a given time
Operates with a sense of urgency, ability to work under tight and sometimes competing priorities
Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships
Strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, IF functions, etc.) and PowerPoint. Experience in Alteryx, BI Dashboarding tools, Anaplan, and Smartview a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
5+ years of experience in a finance role (FP&A, investment banking, equity research)

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Understanding of ESG & Sustainability concepts
M&A deal experience

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Team
Sustainable1 supports divisional Sustainability and Energy Transition growth across S&P Global. The role will report to the Head of Finance for Sustainable1 and will work with the Sustainable1 leadership and Strategy teams. Additionally, they will work with finance partners and other stakeholders across all the divisions and at Corporate FP&A.
Responsibilities and Impact

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will require a dynamic finance leader, who can manage a wide array of tasks and responsibilities:
Contribute to the financial planning and evaluation, financial reporting, and interpretation/analysis of the results for Sustainable1 and the enterprise wide Sustainability and Energy Transition suite of products.
Act as a business partner to Sustainable1 leadership and their direct reports to effectively manage their respective P&L areas, including mitigating risks and identifying productivity opportunities.
Work with divisional finance teams to provide analysis of financial results and forecasts across the enterprise for the Sustainability and Energy Transition suite of products.
Perform financial analysis (including financial modelling) and due diligence for Sustainable1-led acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.
Develop business cases to assist in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
Track progress against key investments and acquisitions
Administer commercial incentive program driving enterprise wide Sustainability and Energy Transition revenue growth.
Collaborate with the team to develop presentations for S&P Global Senior Management and the Board.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,379 to $176,445. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
