Job Description
CONNECTED COMPONENTS SUPPORT
Connected Components Support Team provides phone support in specialized Rockwell Automation PLCs (Micro800, SLC, MicroLogix), Sensors (all products), Industrial PCs (VersaView and other), Software (Connected Components Workbench) and Safety Components. Engineers assist with issues related with programming issues (mostly Ladder Diagram), hardware faults troubleshooting, hardware configuration and computer’s hardware related issues.
Remote Support Engineers answer incoming customers’ questions, lab testing/verifying solutions, developing and documenting technical articles. This is great opportunity to gain an experience in Industrial Automation area and become specialist in one of many fields like PLC, SCADA, HMI, Power Control – Drives, Motion, Industrial Networks, and many more.
Mostly, the Team supports North American customers: end users, distributors, and internal customers, hence knowledge of the English language is necessary.
You will report to Technical Support Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
- Phone and email technical support for customers in troubleshooting and solving issues related to Rockwell Automation products.
- Simulation and analysis of clients’ issues using available resources.
- Research, verification, and resolution of reported issues.
- Documenting technical solutions and best practices.
- Cooperation with technical teams and Customer Care.
- Continuous improvement in products and technologies is required to provide high-level support for customers.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Degree in Automation Engineering/Electrical/related field and/or prior experience in a similar position.
- Very good command of English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of electricity and reading of wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work on stressful commercial issues.
- Knowledge of the Windows operating system.
- Experience in customer service.
