Responsibilities:

  • Daily reconciliation of JBWere and SDW ledgers and cash movement for settlements of stocks, bonds, corporate actions.
  • End of day trust registers on segregation of client money.
  • Review of general ledgers and prepare journals to close out any open items or breaks.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly fee billing and receipting tasks and engage with JBWere advisors on any ad hoc queries on fee related matters.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (Cash, Account Maintenance and Settlement teams, nab finance partners) as needed to resolve issues as they arise through BAU work.
  • Use your SME knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement and uplift of the teams processes and capability.
  • Support the wider team with conducting Quality Assurance and general audit-like work.
    Review and prioritise BAU activities along with problem solving and investigations of adhoc issues.
    Proactively monitoring risk and assurance requirements within agreed Risk Appetite and managing non-compliance in a timely manner.
    Managing and supporting projects within the team.
    Participate in project /BVT and UAT, when new products are introduced

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • General knowledge of ASIC and ASX rules on client money is highly regarded.
  • Understanding of backend banking operations and bank reconciliations.
  • Proactiveness in problem solving, has a curious mindset and eagerness to learn to find innovative and unconventional solutions through their expertise and navigate their way through obstacles with confidence.
  • Outstanding level of attention to detail, can consistently deliver quality work.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Foundational NAB System Knowledge, SecuritEase.
  • Good financial analytical skills.
  • Good time management skills, can understand the ‘big-picture’ and prioritise accordingly and at times pre-emptively.
