Description:

The Associate Financial Representative (AFR) specializes in client service and supporting the financial representative as they focus on building their practice and client relationships. An AFR also ensures the continuation of an efficient, effective and organized office. This individual is a liaison between the network office and home office as well as the financial representative and clients. Specific responsibilities may include but are not be limited to:

  • Client service support and communication (phone and email)
  • Proactively reach out to clients or prospective clients via phone/email to schedule meetings
  • Confirm appointments and answer client calls
  • Tracking phoning activity in CRM
  • Identify life changes and needs of clients and pivot the conversation to the Advisor
  • Assist in client insurance service requests (when licensed): beneficiary/bank/address changes, reinstatements, and dividend changes
  • Take initiative to see tasks are followed through until complete, reach out to clients as needed
  • Encourage clients to leverage the technology available to them for service requests and help onboard clients for online access
  • Input data and gather information in preparation for client/prospect meetings
  • Document notes and correspondence
  • Assist with meeting follow up to submit new business or create follow up activities in CRM
  • Monitoring and expediting applications in underwriting. Assist with scheduled client medical exams.
  • Work with Home Office support for client servicing and insurance underwriting pre-screen/follow ups
  • Work with Home Office support for assistance with technology and Advisor assigned research
  • Help maintain electronic client files
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Health and Life licensed or gain licensing within 6 months of employment
  • Financial Service or Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
